Aspire San Marcos

There are definitely a few perks of living at Aspire like being so close to campus, the target underneath, social setting, pool, gym etc. The staff is usually nice & maintenance is always helpful. From the outside looking in this is the perfect apartment, BUT when you actually live here it is so different!! 2 out of 3 elevators are constantly under repair causing super long waits for the elevator. The elevators, halls & stairwell are constantly trashed so it’s like living in a nicely furnished frat house. For $1,400 a month the units should be larger (rooms look way larger in pics), the elevators should be repaired quickly if broke, and the overall complex should be way cleaner!

The hallways are disgusting and stink, the carpets NEED to be replaced or switched to a tile of some sort. The hallways are the worst part of aspire, everything else is pretty clean. Management is great ngl, we just need cleaner hallways that don’t have soaked up waste. Carpet shampooing is only a temporary solution because the stains reappear once it’s dried, the dog waste is soaked under the carpet and the smell is bad. Especially when rent is so expensive, we expect hallways that don’t smell like a zoo. This place is way too pet friendly and it shows because the apartment is deteriorating and probably already had permanent pet damage. Aspire needs non carpet flooring in the residential hallways because pretty soon I will vomit and contribute to the messy hallways if I have to keep smelling this. Also if you don’t smell it you’re probably nose blinded to it.

Aspire is fantastic!! I am an attending student at Texas State University and I am a current resident at Aspire. This year is My first year here at Aspire and I am loving every second of it. First of all, I have to mention how amazing the entire staff is. And I mean the entire staff. From front office, to maintenance, and every position in between, Dinerstein has accrued to upmost professional and hardworking team that sets them apart from any other San Marcos apartments. The front office staff has always been such a pleasure to work with. I really enjoy stopping by the front office to see what events are going on and getting to chat with the front office associates. The leasing agents are so friendly and personable. The leasing agents will even stop to say hello and sometimes even give treats to my dog, which as a pet owner, really makes my day knowing that Aspire also values their animal residents as well. This adds such a nice "homey" touch to the Aspire experience. I want to give a special shout out to Lexi, the leasing manager. Even before I was a resident at Aspire, she had assisted Me with any questions that I had about My lease. Alexis is really involved and very knowledgeable about her apartment and it shows. I've never been given a "I don't know." When I've visited the office over questions, Lexi can be seen working along side her leasing agents and is quite approachable. Having a friendly, knowledgable, and approachable manager is all the difference for me as a resident. Living in another student living near Aquarena Springs, it felt quite difficult to get in touch with a manger. Often times it felt like the managers would talk through the leasing agents. However, this is not the case with Aspire. I've been able to get help through Alexis whenever the need is greater than the expertise of a leasing agent. Dinerstein is very fortunate to have Alexis on their team. She's a very hardworker that excels at her role of being a manager at Aspire San Marcos. She is the reason that Dinerstein continues to have the esteemed reputation that it has come to acquire. Aspire seems to be a very welcoming community of residents. I've made friends with people around the apartment through the elevators, neighbors, and My roommates!! Everyone has been really nice, friendly, and mostly respectful which is such a nice feel. I know or have become aquainted with a good amount of the surrounding apartments neighbors around My unit. The feeling of community is very important for me and Aspire has made that happen. Aspire tends to be pretty chill until Thursday. Then, Aspire takes on such a fun vibe during the weekend. You'll see a lot of people dressed up and ready to go out a night, some people that have started enjoying the night already, and the occasional apartment party. If you're social and looking to have a good time on the weekends while being in a prime location to the square, Aspire is for you. The apartments are also solid in construction. I feel like you seldomly hear your neighbor. This is very nice. Maintenance- They're amazing. They are responsive and very communicative. It's also nice having a dog here because of the location to city parks. It's also nice being able to walk around the square with My dog on nice weather days. However, I do want to note, watch out for throw up. It can be outside the apartment, in the elevator, or in your hallway. But there can be throw up. And it's hard to even blame Aspire, quite honestly. A lot of the issues that a resident can experience are usually done by other residents and or the residents guests. (Even when reporting to the office. Only about half the messes have been taken care of.) Overall, Aspire is a great place to live. From the employees that beautify Aspire, the AMAZING maintenance team, to Jackson, Athena, Delani, and Alexis up front. Each member of this team and those that I missed make sure that they constantly work their hardest to make sure that you're happy living at Aspire.

After reading reviews, I am not sure what some of these people are talking about. Aspire is nothing but the opposite, my move out fees were very transparent, and the front office staff is so helpful. Jenny Bolton is the community manager and she is absolutely amazing, she works well with her residents and is nothing like other San Marcos apartment managers. Aspire goes the extra mile for their residents and has great communication. The front desk workers are really nice and if they do not have an answer they will get you an answer. The maintenance is incredible and quick to respond, they always encourage residents to report any damage in the unit or on the property. If it’s reported it’s fixed the same day and an email gets sent to the resident that reports it. Oh did I mention I am resigning? Because of how great aspire is, I will be living here for a 3rd year.
